My name is Korrie and I am a Dutch illustrator. I don’t own ‘klompen’ (clogs), but I do love a good windmill! Especially paper mills … I think with my pencil … I’m a children’s book illustrator and surface pattern designer. I love drawing flowers, sweet characters and misunderstood monsters. My aim is to spread cheer and fun with my sweet quirky characters and surface pattern design. I would love to work with you!
20 years ago, I married my best friend, we have 2 kids, well in their teens by now, and own a Swiss White Shepherd called Dex.
My motto is ‘make someone smile today’, this is why, when travelling by tram or train, I leave an illustration behind with little quotes that I hope will land in the hands of the person who needed to hear it!
Also … I’m working on my bucketlist! I jumped off a mountain in the Dolomites for a parachute flight (twice). It was a pure joy … and I went abseiling 100 meters down from the Euromast in Rotterdam. Any suggestions on what to do next?
I have been drawing since forever. In 2014 I made sure to draw every day. In 2020, when everyone was in lockdown, I started following illustration courses by Make Art That Sells as well as The Good Ship Illustration. Today I’ve just finished my very first picture book!
So that’s me, your turn … Want to work with me? That would be great.
Just want to talk? Also perfect, just drop me an email, let’s chat! you can use this form …
